Resin Cast Prototypes

The clear advantages resin cast parts offer over other plastic part manufacturing methods are low tooling costs and quick turn-around time. Inergi resin cast parts are cost efficient at much lower quantities than injection molding. Inergi cast resin parts may also offer the unique advantage of being radio transparent. Light pipes and other clear components can be evaluated as clear light transmitting cast resin parts before conventional injection molded parts can be made.

Resin Cast Prototyping is the process Inergi uses for casting low-pressure liquid thermoset resin into custom-made silicone molds. The resin cures, creating either a rigid or soft part with exceptional detail. Cast resin prototypes can be made in quantities in as little as 10 days. Even very small components may be made using cast resin prototyping. Large plastic components, like recreational equipment hoods, electronic equipment doors, medical equipment panels, and assemblies can be made with cast resin components.

A wide range of clarity, transparency, tint, and color options are available in resin cast parts.
