History

INERGI was founded in August of 2000, when seven visionary employees bought their division from Intergraph, a Huntsville computer/software giant, and set out on their own to offer trade show exhibit services, engineering and prototyping.

In the years since that leap of faith, INERGI has grown into a product development and prototyping company that supports new concepts along all phases of the product development life-cycle. INERGI offers commercial product development through a four-phased approach: Product Engineering, Rapid Prototyping, Technical Documentation and Product Strategy.

INERGI is located in a 1920s-era factory that once housed the Martin Stamping and Stove Factory. For almost 60 years, Martin produced home heaters in the 180,000-square-foot facility. Martin ceased operation of the plant in 1999. INERGI moved into the facility in August of 2000 and began renovation.

INERGI offers tours of this remarkable, historic facility each Friday at 11 a.m. Call 256-704-7700 to schedule an appointment for your group.
