GreenINERGI

In the spring of 2010, INERGI launched its GreenINERGI initiative as a recycling and reclamation project centered on preserving and improving the historic Martin Industries Stamping and Stove plant. The initiative includes recycling of unused metals and other materials that once served as the infrastructure of the manufacturing plant. Unneeded wiring, steel tracks, support structures and pieces of equipment are being removed and sold. The revenue generated from the GreenINERGI project is used to improve the facility and provide additional work, warehousing and office areas for future growth.

CEO Austin Boyd, who launched the initiative based on input from employees, is hopeful that the reclamation effort will spur similar projects along Governors Drive from I-65 to Memorial Parkway that will attract business and commercial relocation to the area.
