The GreenINERGI initiative is an ongoing effort to reclaim and renovate the historic Martin Industries building that INERGI calls home. Through this effort, much of the unused metal and other material from the building’s unused infrastructure is being recycled. As revenue is generated, the funds are used for improvements to the structure. Inergi is hopeful that the renovation of this facility will serve as an impetus for other businesses along Governors Drive to do likewise, resulting in rejuvenation of the area and attraction of new businesses to west Huntsville.
In addition, INERGI employees are active in community efforts such as Alliance Ministries, Panoply, Whistlestop and other festivals, professional groups, youth programs, schools, community service organizations and civic groups. INERGI fully supports employees in these efforts to volunteer and give back to the surrounding communities.
